Early Childhood Council of Kern

Planning for quality early care and education

All committees meet at the University Square Building  2000 "K" Street, Bakersfield.

Community Partnerships Committee

To link agencies, programs, and providers through the distribution of centralized information in order to promote and enhance quality child care for Kern County children. This committee’s responsibilities include the maintenance of the web site, coordination of an annual community forum,  and the recruitment of council members.

Meets the first Wednesday of each month from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Programs Committee

To advocate for quality and to address community issues regarding the early care and education of children ages infant to school age. This committee’s primary responsibilities are to coordinate the Infant Toddler and School Age Seminars,  Director's Luncheons, and the Early Care and Education Retention Project. 

Meets third Thursday of every  month  from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m.
