Kern County Geographical Priorities
In accordance with the California Department of Education/Child Development Division, the Kern County Child Care Council which are most under served by current funding.
In the event that the state funding becomes available to increase services for the programs listed below (available to income eligible families - those at or below 75% of the State Median Income), the attached geographical priority areas will be given first consideration for the following categorical funding:
General Child Care Children ages birth to 5 years
State Preschool Children ages 3 to 5 years
(part-day, part-year)Migrant Child Care Children ages birth to 14 years
Before/After School Care Children ages 6 to 13 years
These priorities are submitted to the California Department of Education, Child Development Division annually in May. The priorities listed below were submitted to CDE/CDD in March 2006.
